The Scorch Trials By James Dashner
Prompt: How has the view of the main character changed
throughout reading your book?
The view of the
main character has changed throughout my book because In the beginning of the book he would really
rely on his friends instead of himself because he thought that just because he
was new he did not want to get himself killed. He did not know anything when he
arrived at the glade, such as he did not know any of the words that they used
or how the rules went all that he knew when he came was his name. Now he can
rely on himself because he has learned to be independent and not need that much
help because he got separated from his group of gladers when they were in the
tunnel.
Prompt 2: How have the people
changed in the book so far?
The people in the book The Scorch
Trials have changed because in the beginning of the book they were not willing
to kill anybody so that they can live but now that life for them has gotten
hard for them they are willing to kill so that they can live. For example in
the beginning of the book when they were not willing to kill anybody they came
in contact with people that had a lot of food but the people would not give
them any food so then the gladers just left because they did not want to pick a
fight because they were not people to just take.
So then later on in the book they were really
hungry so then they started stealing food from people because then they became
needy and they knew what they had to do to stay alive which was steal food to
eat. One other way that they were not willing to kill anybody was when they get
attacked by cranks which are like zombies because they just want fresh human
flesh but the cranks used to be real people but the there was a decease. But
when they get attaced by cranks they kill the cranks because they know that the
cranks will go double up with their friends.
